Zion Lutheran Church is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our congregation, staff, and community. To ensure that, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Plan will guide the Congregation Council in its decision-making and as it develops guidelines for the operations of the Congregation.
The Congregation Council approved this Plan on July 15, 2020. It will be reviewed periodically and updated as needed to respond to new information about the virus, evolving local circumstances, and updated public health guidance. The full text of the plan is available below.
The council, pastor and staff are all responsible for implementing and complying
with this plan. Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our
congregation and facility for the protection of our congregation and the wider community. Achieving that goal requires full cooperation among our staff, leaders, and members.
Those with questions or comments regarding this Preparedness Plan are invited to contact a member of Zion's Re-Gathering Task Force: Dan Lowis (congregation president), Matt Strum (congregation vice president), Mackenzie Jones (representing the Worship, Music and Adult Education Ministry Team), Mike Bottin (representing the Buildings and Grounds Ministry Team), and Pastor Andrea Myers.
